Customer and application
Space-heating demand
Use a completed residential load calculation or other justified design heating load. Do not use the existing boiler's nameplate as a substitute.
Hydronic design conditions
Used for preliminary water-flow calculation and to check special water-heater ratings.
Domestic hot-water demand
Tankless/combi screening uses continuous-flow performance. Tank water heaters require separate storage, recovery, first-hour and draw-pattern verification.
